Life Dronfield [Derbyshire | Refurbishment]
DesignXY Ltd provides services as architect and project manager, for the refurbishment of a vicarage and church hall of historic significance, in Dronfield, Derbyshire.
The vision of Life is remarkable in and of itself; to bring together churches of all denominations in and around Dronfield, to act together for the benefit of their community.
Having worked on many projects with Church stakeholders over the years, it’s a privilege to work with The Trustees of Life Dronfield and the church groups that they represent, in seeking to move this project forward. In pursuit of a vision that’s required nearly a decade of investment, Life are seeking to purchase an existing Parish Office and Parish Hall, for development as a community venue, for youth, families, the marginalised and elderly people within Dronfield.
The support from private citizens, local councillors, the local authority planning department as well as local heritage experts, is testimony to the obvious merits of this project.
Occupying a site with very limited frontage, the proposals will take full advantage of the deep plan space available within the Parish Hall and the adjacent courtyard. Elements of the existing building that are in dire need of repair, including aging glazed screens, masonry walls and roof timbers, will receive remedial treatment or replacement. DesignXY Ltd are assisting in scheduling the work required for the successful execution of the project, in addition to the preparation of drawings and other design information, from RIBA Stages 0 - 7.
